At the end of November, a 20-member delegation from Thuringia traveled to the Netherlands with Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI). As part of GTAI's ISW program, the primary goal was to establish Contact for Thuringian companies in the semiconductor, sensor technology, and high-performance ceramics industries and to encourage Dutch companies to consider Thuringia as an investment location.
The program proved promising, including a visit to the Eindhoven High-Tech Campus, dubbed "Europe's smartest square kilometer." This impressive title is well-deserved: the campus boasts an immense concentration of 300 innovative companies from various application areas. The delegation also visited ASML, the largest supplier of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. Other stops included Delft and Amsterdam. An investor event, accompanied by engaging presentations, and a networking event, the German-Dutch High-Tech Forum, provided opportunities to Contact with key players in semiconductor technologies, sensor technology, high-performance ceramics, and next-generation semiconductors.
