A production and office building of approximately 4,000 square meters is planned for the 1-hectare site. The investment volume amounts to around €12 million. Developed in cooperation with investor Niedermaier Invest and construction partner GOLDBECK, the new building marks a strategic milestone and will create up to 150 jobs locally in the medium term.
For a major contract, up to 600 million sheets of paper are to be scanned and digitally processed. Equipped with eight high-performance scanners, modern workstations, and an administration wing, efficiency is the focus.
Minister-President Mario Voigt praised the project as a significant development that will strengthen the economies of Weida and Greiz – it is the largest business development in the district in recent years. In addition to the state, the city of Weida and the district of Greiz also provided support for the project.
Ratiodata, a long-established IT service provider and managed service provider, is committed to regional roots and also actively involved in the community: As a sponsor, it supports FC Thüringen Weida and THC Erfurt Bad Langensalza in their youth programs. The new location in Weida is therefore both an economic and social benefit for Thuringia.
