ERFURT – The economy in Thuringia faces numerous challenges, but also significant opportunities. The "ThAFF Practical Exchange" event series, which continues on February 20th from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., aims to provide Thuringian companies with solutions and inspiration in this regard. ThAFF stands for "Thuringian Agency for Skilled Worker Recruitment." Under the title "Actively Addressing Change Through Qualification: Practical Solutions for Thuringian Companies," participants will receive valuable input for their businesses. During this online event, Lukas Schiffner, Transformation Manager at LEG Thüringen and Project Manager of the Automotive Network Transformation Thuringia (ANeTT), will give a presentation; he and members of the ANeTT team will be available afterward to answer questions.
The ANeTT project is based on the concrete project work of a consortium comprising the Thuringian State Development Corporation (LEG), the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), and the Thuringian Innovation Center for Mobility (ThIMo) at the Ilmenau University of Technology. It supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the automotive and other sectors in mastering the major challenges in the areas of demographics, decarbonization, and digitalization. At five so-called QTI nodes in the pilot region of West Thuringia, ANeTT offers comprehensive consulting services on the topics of qualification, knowledge transfer, and innovation. "Qualification is an essential tool for our Thuringian companies to address the shortage of skilled workers," says Sabine Wosche, Managing Director of LEG, where ThAFF is located. "ANeTT possesses extensive practical expertise in this field, enabling the event to provide valuable insights and guidance to all decision-makers in companies."
background
The Thuringian Agency for Skilled Worker Recruitment (ThAFF) is located within LEG Thüringen and was founded in 2011. Commissioned by the Thuringian Ministry of Labor, its primary goals are twofold: firstly, to help Thuringian companies meet their growing demand for skilled workers, and secondly, to support young people entering the workforce, as well as commuters and potential returnees, in (re)entering the workforce in Thuringia. To this end, ThAFF promotes Thuringia as an employment location, advises its target groups, and informs them about job opportunities in the Free State (for example, through commuter days). With its own company contact fairs – "academix" for young people and "comeback" for commuters and returnees – it connects companies with (future) skilled workers. ThAFF is also actively involved in various networks and supports labor market stakeholders at events. ThAFF is funded by the Free State of Thuringia.
Registration for free participation is still possible until Wednesday, February 19, 2025, via the following link:
