ERFURT – It's an anniversary to celebrate for young and old alike: The LEG company daycare center in the Brühl district of Erfurt is now ten years old. It represents an innovative cooperative project between the city of Erfurt and Thuringian companies, spearheaded by LEG. The facility, operated by the AWO (Workers' Welfare Association), offers a total of 120 childcare places. The city of Erfurt contributes 60 places, while seven companies provide another 60. The educational concept is characterized by a focus on natural sciences; in addition, the children are introduced to the English language.
“The ‘Kita im Brühl’ is a place where countless children have been able to play and learn over the past ten years,” says LEG Managing Director Sabine Wosche. “Above all, it makes a valuable contribution to reconciling work and family life, because employees of partner companies benefit from professional childcare and short commutes. Our special thanks go to our partners, the AWO, the city, and the participating companies, for their excellent cooperation on equal terms and always in the best interests of our children and the daycare center!”
