A glimpse into exciting projects: LEG invites you to its "Open Day" this coming Saturday

From business relocations and residential development projects to job opportunities: the action day offers a wealth of information / Guided tours of the Brühl district are part of the program

ERFURT – Come on in! LEG Thüringen invites all citizens to an open house at its headquarters at Mainzerhofstraße 10/12 in Erfurt on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day offers, among other things, exciting insights into LEG projects, information about training and job opportunities with LEG, relaxing lounge music, and fun activities for children, from basketball to arts and crafts. The "photo camper" will provide fun souvenir photos, everyone can become a film star for a short scene in the green screen studio, and two guided tours of the Brühl district with city and Brühl guide Heinz Kral will reveal fascinating facts about the area's history – from Optima and Funkwerk, where thousands of Thuringians once worked, to the current projects at Gothaer Platz.

“Our LEG is active in all parts of the state, working for the local community with a wide range of initiatives and projects – for example, we attract companies and jobs to the region, develop industrial and commercial areas, recruit skilled workers for the local economy, work with municipalities to create attractive city centers, enhance tourism in regions, provide building land, and create affordable housing,” say Andreas Krey and Sabine Wosche, Managing Directors of LEG. “By opening our doors on Saturday, we invite everyone interested to learn more about our work and spend some pleasant hours with us!”

Numerous project managers will be on-site for the open day, providing information about their working methods and the progress of various projects. Themed areas with information banners and videos will offer additional details about the projects. Meeting spaces include the LEG event area with the COMCENTER Brühl and the inner courtyard. The Brühl district in Erfurt offers a unique opportunity to experience a diverse and impactful urban development project by LEG right on the city's doorstep: Here, a vibrant new urban district has emerged from a former industrial site on 25 hectares within three decades, featuring a theater, central heating, a justice center, and plenty of attractive housing. Final stages of construction are underway at Gothaer Platz, including the planned construction of a hotel. A varied program awaits younger visitors, including arts and crafts, face painting, and interactive activities with the CATL Basketball Lions. Grilled sausages and ice cream will be available for refreshments.

Guided tours of Brühl with Heinz Kral: 11:00 and 14:00, each lasting approximately one hour.
Meeting point 10 minutes beforehand at the “Ankerplatz” in the LEG building/COMCENTER Brühl.
