Kyocera Fineceramics Europe GmbH Kyocera Fineceramics Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of the Japanese Kyocera Group, is establishing a new technology and production facility in Erfurt, Germany. This move expands the company's multi-wire sawing technology with state-of-the-art equipment for the high-precision cutting of brittle and hard materials. The company's application expertise in target markets such as semiconductor manufacturing and testing will be enhanced, and the development and production of advanced ceramic products will be facilitated. The Erfurt site will also house Kyocera's Environmental Technology division from Mannheim, where the company develops, among other things, air scrubbers and neutralization systems. The new production area in southeast Erfurt offers employees more space for efficient development, assembly, and testing, while simultaneously enabling faster product delivery to customers. In the future, in addition to processing its own ceramic products, the company will also offer contract processing of customer materials. Armin Kayser, Managing Director of KYOCERA Fineceramics Europe GmbH, stated: "We are convinced that the new location will not only strengthen our service portfolio but also contribute to further expanding our market presence, particularly in semiconductor applications, and enabling us to offer our customers even better solutions." The decisive factor in choosing the location was the well-equipped production facilities. They offer expansion potential and were leased from LEG Thüringen .
