Directly at the Hermsdorf interchange, attractive sites for companies with large space requirements are being developed on 56 hectares. The project is part of the Thuringia-wide large-scale development initiative and is being funded with approximately €20.1 million from state funds; the total costs amount to €22.8 million. The Thuringian State Development Corporation (LEG) is responsible for the development and marketing. With its excellent location on the A4 and A9 motorways, the site offers ideal conditions for investors and is scheduled for completion by 2028. The groundbreaking ceremony marks an industrial policy milestone for the region and creates new prospects for growth and jobs.
“With its excellent location and transport connections, the area will be an attraction for investors, and it will give further strong impetus to the region around Hermsdorf, which already has a lot of entrepreneurial and technological expertise,” says LEG Managing Director Andreas Krey.
