ERFURT – The Thuringian Sustainability Agreement (NAT) – the largest network for sustainable business practices in the Free State of Thuringia – awarded LEG a NAT certificate today, Wednesday, June 11. LEG has participated in the network since 2013 and is now participating for the fifth consecutive time. For this long-standing commitment, it has been granted permanent NAT status. LEG Managing Director Andreas Krey accepted the certificate at LEG's headquarters in Erfurt from Grit Booth, Head of the NAT Office.

“Sustainability has many facets for us – with our equal opportunities approach to human resources, we offer diverse career development opportunities as well as a fair compensation system. In addition, we have a preventative health management program to keep our workforce healthy in the long term,” said Andreas Krey at the certificate presentation. The award is given for voluntary achievements in all three areas of sustainability: economic, ecological, and social. LEG scored particularly well in social sustainability. It was especially significant that the state-owned company has held the TOTAL E-QUALITY seal of approval for many years – the association of the same name has repeatedly recognized LEG's contributions to promoting equal opportunities and diversity within its organization. “We promote work-life balance, gender equality and health, as well as diversity, with the aim of increasing motivation, meaningful work, and performance throughout the entire company,” summarized Andreas Krey.
“I am delighted that LEG has been involved in NAT as a partner and supporter of the Thuringian economy for twelve years,” said Grit Booth. “The network especially needs multipliers like LEG!”

Background:

The Thuringian Sustainability Agreement (NAT) has existed for over 20 years (founded in March 2004) as a voluntary agreement between the Thuringian state government and Thuringian businesses. With approximately 750 participants, the NAT has established itself as the largest network in the Free State of Thuringia based on voluntary participation and organized by the business community itself. The NAT brings together stakeholders to address issues of sustainable business practices. All participants in the alliance share a fundamental understanding of sustainable development and a commitment to taking responsibility for future generations.
