Fans of magic and witchcraft have long known, and countless tourists have been drawn to it: The Harz Mountains, a charming region offering nature and adventure, are closely intertwined with the mysterious world of witches – among other things, the female mythical creatures regularly gather for their witches' sabbath on the Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz. The new tower adds another attraction to this popular enchantment: Its gleaming white steel structure, currently taking shape as part of the ongoing construction work, is reminiscent of the twigs of a witch's broom. At a height of 70 meters, the tower will soon house a fantastical and magical exhibition and a bewitching adventure forest play area. Families with children can reach the top via an elevator, and the descent can be made quickly via one of two slides. This tourist attraction is a project of the "Harz Witch Kingdom," a tourism project of the Nordhausen district, implemented by the Service Gesellschaft and Harzer Hexenreich GmbH, and funded by the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs with a total of 10.1 million euros from GRW funds.
