Start-ups and small businesses have access to office space and shared services at the bauhaus FACTORY. With a total of approximately 1,200 m² of usable space spread over four floors and up to eight independent rental units, the center offers a first-class and flexible infrastructure.

The seminar and conference rooms, totaling approximately 135 m², are equipped with modern presentation technology (projector) as well as lecterns, conference tables, chairs and other furnishings (sideboards, wardrobe).

A separate kitchen and catering area is attached.

Position

The center is located close to the university and the city center. It is in the immediate vicinity of the Media and Architecture faculties of the Bauhaus University Weimar. The building complex is framed by the digital bauhaus lab research building and two experimental buildings belonging to the Architecture faculty.

Environment

Since the beginning of 2014, the "bauhaus FACTORY" Weimar has been an attraction and meeting point for start-ups, but also for small companies in the creative industries that are already present on the market.

With the Bauhaus, founded in Weimar in 1919, Thuringia is one of the pioneers of the creative industries. The Free State of Thuringia, particularly the city of Weimar and the surrounding Weimarer Land region, as well as the neighboring cities of Erfurt and Jena, possesses significant creative and entrepreneurial potential. The Bauhaus University Weimar (BUW), with its four faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Design, and Media, ensures a steady stream of highly trained and motivated innovators and, with its "neudeli" startup incubator, provides an excellent foundation for local startups.
