The site is located in the Görmar district, north of Sondershäuser Landstraße, within the new Lindenhof industrial park in Mühlhausen. It comprises part of the former Görmar barracks, which served as a Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) base until 2015. The property adjoins the existing Görmar industrial park and the vocational school center to the east of the B 249 highway.

The distance to the A38 motorway is 31.0 km and to the A4 motorway approximately 40 km. The industrial park is located in the immediate vicinity of the new B 247 Mühlhausen bypass.
