Description
The Air Traffic and Commercial Center North Thuringia, due to its central location, is one of the development focal points of this region.

Location
In the center of Germany, between the cities of Nordhausen and Mühlhausen, about 2.5 km northwest of Schlotheim, lies the air traffic and commercial center of North Thuringia. The adjacent country road L2096 and federal highway B249 connect the area northwards to the A38 and southwards to the A4. The distance to the South Harz motorway A38 from Göttingen to Halle/Leipzig is only about 20 km. The A4, Frankfurt/Main - Dresden is about 44 km away.
The directly adjacent airfield, with approximately 76 hectares of flight area, is the largest in North Thuringia. The international Erfurt Airport is about 50 kilometers away.
