For the past 25 years, the State Development Corporation of Thuringia has been standing up for the development of Thuringia as an economic and investment location in many ways. Thus, the latest edition of the newsletter will provide you with an overview of our wide range of services for investors and entrepreneurs. In addition, we are presenting some of the recent greenfield investments and expansions projects in the state of Thuringia including a 45 million Euro investment of Stahlo Stahlservice GmbH & Co. KG in Gera as well as the biggest investment of Carlisle Construction Materials in Europe. The company will invest more than 40 million Euros in their new site in Waltershausen.

A special focus will also be put on the latest delegation trip to the USA in May 2017 giving just one example of our wide range of services provided in order to support the globalization of the Thuringian economy.

Furthermore, this issue will also allow you to learn more about Thuringia’s development as an up-and-coming technology location. There are two articles covering the set-up of a brand new R&D building of the CEEC (Center for Energy and Environmental Chemistry) in Jena, as well as the latest activities of the Fraunhofer Association at various sites within Thuringia.
